Rachel Spilo

As Founder and CEO of Catalyst Solutions, Rachel manages the strategic vision as well as day to day operations of Catalyst, making sure that Catalyst’s standards of quality are not only met but exceeded. In the past 20 years, Catalyst has grown from a local Colorado consulting firm to a large-scale national player in the payer marketplace. Rachel personally ensures that the company and its employees adhere to the core values of Catalyst set forth years ago and that the company maintains its original integrity.

Rachel has won numerous awards including Young Entrepreneur of the Year by the Small Business Administration, as well as yearly recognition from INC Magazine and Colorado Business Magazine.

A native of Southern Missouri, Rachel currently resides in Denver, Colorado working out of the Catalyst headquarters. In her spare time, she enjoys boating, adventure travel, and spending time with her husband and three boys.

Angela Rivera, FHIMSS

 
 

Angela Rivera is a Market Leader and Cybersecurity Advisor at The Chartis Group with over 25 years of healthcare and technology experience. Ms. Rivera’s major focus over the past 20 years has been driving service portfolio development and growth related to clinical, financial and operational improvement initiatives enabled through information technology and process redesign. She has demonstrated success through a consultative, value-based trusted partner approach and exceeding service targets year after year. Ms. Rivera brings significant client relationship and team leadership skills with experience serving small to large healthcare organizations. She promotes accountability, teamwork and collaboration within and across the organization to ensure work is on target and meets all expectations at the highest level of client satisfaction. She is a major contributor of new solutions and services and facilitator of best practices for streamlining service delivery and operations.

Prior to joining The Chartis Group, Ms. Rivera served as Executive Vice President, Operations at CynergisTek, Inc., an information security, privacy and compliance consulting firm offering solutions that measure privacy and security programs against regulatory requirements and assists in developing risk management best practices. Prior to CynergisTek, Ms. Rivera spent 17 years at Computer Task Group, Inc., an international IT consulting firm where she served in several roles, most recently as Vice President of its Healthcare and Life Sciences division.

Ms. Rivera has a passion for service and has served on various boards and in other volunteer roles.  She holds a Fellow Status with HIMSS and was the President of the Southern California HIMSS Chapter and served as Board Member and Annual Conference Chair for the San Diego Chapter of ACHE.  Ms. Rivera serves as an advocate for the advancement of women in technology and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Women in Healthcare Information Technology (WHIT) and was named “Women in Healthcare IT to Know” by Becker’s Hospital Review in 2018 and 2019.   She also serves as a Guardian Scholar Mentor supporting foster youth to achieve their educational and career goals.

 

Ms. Rivera received her MBA from Louisiana State University, Shreveport, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, San Diego, and is a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).

Michelle Barker

 
 

Michelle is an experienced IT healthcare IT leader with over 20 years of technology experience. Michelle’s background is in the inpatient hospital world where she has worked for diverse hospitals including Stanford Hospital and Clinics, Lucile Packard Children's Hospital and Alameda Health Systems. She is currently the IT Director of Applications at Marin General Hospital where she specializes in strategic integration and transformation leadership.  Michelle joined MGH in 2014 and is responsible for all aspects of the clinical, financial and enterprise application suites.

Lisa Grisim RN, MSN

 
 

Lisa has been at Stanford University Medical Center for over 30 years and has spent the last 20 years in the field of Information Technology specializing in the implementation and optimization of Electronic Medical Records (EMRs) along with helping to lead the development and adoption of Lean tools and techniques within her organization. Her most recent EMR implementation resulted in Stanford Children’s Health (SCH) and Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford attaining HIMSS Analytics Stage 7 of the EMR Adoption Model (EMRAM) in both inpatient and ambulatory.  This past year her organization was also awarded the prestigious HIMSS Davies Award for the use of EMR data to improve quality and outcomes, enhance patient safety, and decrease costs. Lisa frequently gives talks locally and nationally on EMR implementations, optimization, Lean in healthcare IT, process improvement and innovation and hospitals of the future.  In 2012 Lisa was awarded the Excellence in Leadership Award for her organization and this past year she was thrilled to be nominated for HIMSS Most Influential Women in Healthcare IT.  In her current role as Vice President and Associate Chief Information Officer Lisa leads a team of over 140 staff and consultants managing all clinical and revenue cycle applications for the organization, IS imaging services, the PMO, as well as Clinical Technology and Biomedical Engineering.  Lisa earned her Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing (BSN) from the University of San Francisco (USF) and her Masters of Science degree in Nursing (MSN) from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF).
